〈About the fragrance〉
Japanese Fragrances Hinoki is the incense with a refreshing fragrance, created on a Sandalwood base with natural Hinoki (Japanese Cypress) oil added in. When you light this incense, you can feel the fragrance which reminds of a newly built Japanese house made out of Cypress wood.
Hinoki (Japanese Cypress) has been described in Nihonshoki (the oldest chronicles of Japan) as the supreme wood, which is very durable and which has its characteristic fragrance loved by people. Nowadays it is also used to build wooden houses, Japanese bath tube or as a bathwater additive. For Japanese people it has a very familiar fragrance which brings tranquility.
It is also said that Hinoki fragrance has a calming effect.
