About Tennendo’s Frankincense from Oman Frankincense has been a highly valuable material since ancient Egypt. It reached India through Saudi Arabia and from there was introduced into China through the Silk Road. It is sourced from a resin of a Boswellia tree, collected and dried for one month. The substance hardens up after drying, but still it is chewed like a gum by local people! Frankincense softens up as it is warmed up and chewed and used to be a substitute for toothpaste. There is one theory that in Japan during Edo period there was available a tooth brushing powder that contained Frankincense. Now you can enjoy the same fragrance that was adored by ancient Egyptians.
